Just realized I put 50 rounds of 357 sig through my 40 caliber barrel!

Last week I couldnt hit anything outside about twenty feet with my Glock 27. I thought I had my Lone Wolf 357 sig barrel in it but I didnt. All rounds shot through my .40 barrel but accuracy plain out didnt exist. I had the hammer and punch out and was all set to drift my rear sight when I realized the problem. The Lone wolf is stainless but I polished all the blueing off my .40 barrel before I got the other and didnt notice. Off to the range..........redemption time.

Glad you're ok, and this was only about a $20 lesson in double check which barrel you have in your gun.

Did you pick up any of the cases? I'm curious what they look like after firing them.

Just got back from a quick range trip. Put twenty five rounds of .40 and 357 downrange using the correct barrels for each caliber. The Glock 27 is redeemed as accuracy has again appeared.

All you did was effectively fireform expensive 357 SIG brass into inexpensive once-fired (but mismarked) 40 S&W brass.

When I didn't have any access to 38-55 brass or ammo, I fired a couple boxes of 30-30 through the 38-55. Blew the case walls out straight. I painted the heads purple and loaded and reloaded those fireformed 30-30 cases probably 7 or 8 times.

No harm done.
