I thought the new castle doctrine granted immunity from civil and criminal cases. the surviving family members can't sue from what I understand.

Don’t think you know, really UNDERSTAND the answer about what (HB 40 Castle Doctrine) Act 10 of 2011 does or doesn’t do.

Your question is actually going to be re address in another for now CLASSIFIED legislative effort, to make sure that it won't be a problem for someone in the future.

That is IF we do our part to get this CLASSIFIED game changer legislation enacted its going to make CD effort for passage seem easy and offer MUCH more freedom from fear of complications to PA.
