Can't stop buyin... new Taurus 1911 / 9mm on the way
Found a deal on a new PT1911 9mm that I just couldn't ignore today. It will be $480 shipped and xferred. That's robbery! We had the luxury to shoot this exact gun already (a friend's pistol) and I can't wait to get it. My PT1911 is already shooting like butter after 200 and change rounds. The 9mm will be a great addition to the range bag.
Pics in a week or two!

BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Congrats on an excellent (IMO) acquisition.
I absolutely LOVE the 9mm in the 1911 platform. I have a late 50s Colt LW Commander, a Colt Series 70 Mk IV Govt Model, and an phosphated RIA 5" Govt Model / 1911A1 "clone." All three are phenomenally accurate and well-regulated at 25 yds with Winchester Value Pack 115s.
I'm certain that you will enjoy your own 9mm PT1911 as much as you did your friend's.

Oh hell. Forgot to mention... this piece is for the better half. She likes the 1911 platform but each time she shoots the .45 she says "did you find me a 9mm yet?" Yep!

Brother, this is what I just went through. Hey, can't keep the ladies in the dark, besides they can give us some competition when they want to. When I take my wife to the range now, and she puts up some wicked small groups, I tell people I don't know the bitch, simply because the chick already bruised my ego on the way to the range. What else can you do?

I've been trying to find a shop that will trade me a stainless PT1911 for my 6" Ruger GP100 .357... No such luck yet... Might just have to save up cash and buy one... lol

Bro, it really is a good piece. We have put 600 rds. of WWB through it already (we are on vacation and WWB is only 19.95 per 100rd. box at WM) and not one single mishap, at all. Just like the .45, it is very forgiving, and if you don't have the stiffest wrist in town, it is ok, it just keeps cycling. Very happy with it and the wife is getting four inch, unassisted groups at 15 yards.
