Re: LIST of ANTI and PRO Open Carry businesses in MONTGOMERY county
As soon as I entered, two employees approached me and told me I had to leave. I left, locked weapon in the vehicle and came back to talk to manager. I told him that i'm taking my business somewhere else. He told me that he will pass on my opinion on store manager. Well, maybe by July 4 when you stop by he had a talk with store manager and they changed rule not to bother OCers
BTW I was well dressed.

Re: LIST of ANTI and PRO Open Carry businesses in MONTGOMERY county
Absolutely not. We all know legal carry has absolutely nothing to do with crime. Anti-gun idiots are under the delusion that criminals abide by rules and that law abiding citizens go around shooting people on a whim.
Maybe I'm wrong but I wouldn't assume jewelry store or bank management were anti-gun. I'd assume they realize they're high on the list of places to get knocked over and don't want any hero's for stuff that's fully insured.

Re: LIST of ANTI and PRO Open Carry businesses in MONTGOMERY county
I think you mixed something up there but I'll try to answer what I think you're saying. The sign doesn't absolve them of anything, except maybe shooting you by mistake because only a criminal would ignore the sign. So if something goes down, and they spot a gun on you, I think they'd have a pretty good argument to be within their rights to shoot your ass too, just to be safe.
I don't see it as advertising they're a soft target, I see it for what it is... a sign that says anyone entering armed is in violation of the law. Nowhere do they claim THEY are not armed and dangerous. Nowhere do they say they are responsible for your safety. In fact, they're telling you beforehand your own safety may be diminished if someone else doesn't play by the rules. Still doesn't necessarily mean, "anti-gun".
Think what you want, but I give banks, jewelry stores, check cashing businesses, etc a little slack. Until I see them actually supporting anti-gun movements, I assume they're just trying to protect their premises as they see fit. Not everything is about me.
And just so you don't confuse my playing devils advocate, if a pizza shop puts up a sign, I'd probably go down the street to the next pizza shop.

Re: LIST of ANTI and PRO Open Carry businesses in MONTGOMERY county
As terrible as it is, I believe that makes a difference. I could walk in wearing cutoff shorts and tshirt and get stared at by everyone, especially if I was OC'ing, but if your well dressed, your not likely to get as many looks. My professor in college did an experiment like this with jewelry stores. Walk in wearing a suit, then walk in wearing cutoffs, you would be surprising with the outcome of how you were being treated.

Just FYI, regarding the whole "how you're dressed" topic, I've also done some "scientific research" on this topic at various strip clubs in my area, and the results are unsurprisingly similar.
