    Default the Firing Line Range?

Does anyone know if the Firing Line in Whitehall is open to the public? I looked up their number on yellowbook, tried calling it and got no answer. Also their website is down.. Not looking good for them..

Yes they are public. They are open and doing fine from the last conversation I had with them. I have another post here with more details.

Its open to the public but not sure on the fee to shoot there, I personally recommend getting a membership to Tri-Boro Sportsmans Club in Northampton right off of Main St. by the old railroad station museum, nice range to shoot at and only an initial $25 fee for membership with only about $10 to renew a year.

Thank you very much guys. I am going to head over there around noon and check it out. Also I will look into joining the Tri-Boro Sportsmans Club, wish they had a website, oh well.

I'd also recommend Tri-Boro. Granted, it's outside, and you need a 4x4 to get to the range in the winter sometimes... but on the other hand, it's cheaper, and you don't have someone yelling at you whenever one of your shots strays more than 4 inches from the center of the target.

After getting lectured because my first five shots were in a 2" grouping, and the sixth was a few inches outside of that, as apparently that indicated that I was going to be shooting the floor and ceiling, too, The Firing Line lost me as a customer. When I shoot, I want to concentrate on improving my shooting skills, not worrying about whether I'm going to get bitched out by the range owner.
Safety is a good tool for tyrants; no one can be against safety.

PA dose not have firearm registration.

The PA State Police keep a controversial in not outright illegal sales database, but legally there is no registration in PA.
