    Default .45 ammo for plinking

Like the title says. My range sells lawman range ammo for $24 a box and I like it pretty good besides the price. I want to order something in the 500 to 1k quantity. Brass needs to be re-loadable being I want to save it for that day I start to reload. Any subjection?

For target/range use, I generally shoot Federal, Blazer Brass, or PMC Bronze. They're all reasonably priced. Nobody beats Walmart's prices on Federal (if and when they have it), but the link above is a good one to check periodically for deals.

1K of .45 ACP ammo is barely one month's supply now that I go to the range only once a week. I think you should consider getting into reloading sooner rather than later.

Think of it this way, the cost of less than 2k of factory stuff (even at ammoman's prices) will get you set up with a progressive press and dodads and accessories and compenents.

It's the only ammo I've ever had problems with.

It's dirty, it's inconsistent, and will turn the muzzle of your firearm a nice discolored black/white.

I don't even use it in my semi-auto pistols anymore. It's simply used in my .38spl revolver, and then only when I have to. I've had more FTF/FTE's with UMC than anything else I've used.

Anyone have first hand experiences with that USA Ammo reloaded stuff? The price is right.
