Savage 10FCM Scout in .308 at Dicks in State College

After waiting a million years for it to come into stock at Jerry's (who supplies Dicks with (at least some of) their long guns), I finally used up my copious number of Dicks Points certificates by ordering a Savage 10 FCM Scout in 7.62.x 39.

I just got off the phone with one of the employees at the Dicks Store in State College. Jerry's sent the wrong gun. It's the 10FCM Scout, but its in 308. Nothing wrong with 308, but I wanted 7.62 x 39. While they are trying to figure out how to return it to Jerry's, I thought I'd post this information here because there might be someone out there who would like a scout rifle in .308.

I don't know if Dick's would cut you a deal or not. (Dicks normal retail price is 679.99. I've seen it for less, but not much less. After you factor in shipping and transfer fee, it comes out fairly close.)

Jerry's has 8 of the Scout rifles in 7.62 x 39, and I am hoping this will be cleared up before they run out of them again.

Anywho, who is "Jerrys," and should I go there, buy firearms, and return home happy? Please edumacate me.....

Jerry's Sport Center is a distributor, you can't buy directly from them but you can ask your local FFL if they buy from them.

Sorry, should not have presumed that it was common knowlege.

Jerry's is Jerry's Sport Center, a wholesaler of sporting goods and firearms. I don't think that individuals can purchase directly from them, only businesses, but perhaps if you have an FFL you can? I don't know.

They have a number of locations depending on what one is purchasing.

Jerry's Sports Center is a major firearms wholesaler, they only sell to 01 FFL's. There are actually 5 distributors in that family, Jerry's (Pittston, PA) Bonitz Brothers (Harrisburg), Outdoor Sports (Dayton), Simmons (Spring Hill, KS), Jerrys NE (Newington, CT). When someone wants me to special order a gun, that is one of the places I check to see what is available.
