    Default Help me identify this please...

    My brother-in-law was given this, and he would like to know a little about it. I have no idea, as there is only 1 marking on it (shown in one of the photos). It looks like "954". Any help would be appreciated!

    Hmmm... Very interesting... An old percussion cap blackpowder pocket gun... They were easy to make, easy to hide. Pretty much the first Saturday Night Special... lol It looks old, as in Civil War Era. Percussion caps were common until the end of the Civil War when metallic cartridges became pretty standard. Can't say for sure, but that is what I am figuring... Nice find... They usually came in pairs, so finding the other one would be amazing, if not impossible...
