HELP! NEED MOVERS! ASAP!

OKay I ordered a safe Online. 4-6 weeks for delivery. Duing that I prepped where its going to live. and my hand truck to move it.. I miss estimated on Size and weight. Its about 5 foot tall 3'6" wide and 2 foot deep. and 700 LBS any one know of a good Moving company that will not kill me on Price to Move this from my Upstairs to my basement? I has to go down a total of 8 steps But getting it in my house myself KILLED me.(Yes i am writeing this from Beyond the grave.) But really I need to find some one to move this and one Have any advice experiances with this?

Contact the local Piano movers.
NOT a Moving company, you'll get hosed.

You may also want to contact locksmiths in your area. If they are not equipped to move safes themselves, they may be able to refer you to someone reputable who can.

Thanks for the Ideas.. I am already thinking of getting something for the pain caused By moving myself already today. had to build a ramp to get it in the front door. Do meet up happen Often? ( would like to Meet some of the people giving advice.)

Enough beer and Pizza and I would move it myself! But sorry, can't drive across the state for beer and pizza... lol Piano movers would be the best bet, next to a buddy with a long winch cable that is...

Build ramps to slide it down the steps and then use lots of dowel rods to move it on flat surfaces

Ordered mine through my local gun shop, came with "inside" home delivery to where I wanted it... worth the extra $$$ over a great deal IMHO

Hope it goes well, the locksmith idea Greg had sounds like your best bet
