Re: XD Trigger Jobs What and Where
Either one will do good work if you're sending it to them.
I ordered a kit from Powder River Precision and installed it myself. Much better than the factory pull."Unus ut caput capitis"

Re: XD Trigger Jobs What and Where
How difficult was that? I'd say I've got a decent competency level when it comes to things like that. Swapped out parts on other guns before... Was thinking I could save myself some time, and more importantly $ doing it myself.

Re: XD Trigger Jobs What and Where
I've had the pleasure of shooting an XD that had the Springfield Custom trigger job. It was fantastic. It'll cost ya, but if you're willing to shell out the cash it's very nice.

Re: XD Trigger Jobs What and Where
If you can dis/re-assemble the frame parts, you can do it. The only part you have to do is fit this polymer piece by filing a little off. I believe there's instructions somewhere or I found them on the XD forum. Took a few times assembling/disassembling/shave alil more off, but finally got it.
Just check that your safeties still work, then only load 2 rnds to start with when firing.
That being said, I like how it is now, but it could be better and I may have sent it off to be done if I wanted a specific trigger pull."Unus ut caput capitis"

Re: XD Trigger Jobs What and Where
I helped a friend install my prp ultimate trigger kit. Can I only say its damm near the best trigger I have ever felt. Zero take up and brakes crisp at about 3.5 pounds. During a chrono stage at a local USPSA event the RO almost shot out of the box because he was not expected such a good trigger from an xd. It did take about an hr of fitting and you will become an assemble and dissemble pro. I think the trick for me was to stop fitting the overtravel stop just till it reset then dryfired it till it worked the rest of the way in.
I have a second XD that i may send out to Springer just so i have one of each. '
Side not this trigger has totally changed my shooting for the better....Tantric Shooting Team

Re: XD Trigger Jobs What and Where
I am waiting to recieve the Springer kit for my XDm45.
I did a lot of research and found those that love the Springer kit and hate the PRP and vice versa.
Kind of like the Glock - SA XD debate.
