Re: Groundhog Hunting (Do I need a License?)
ok. Do I understand this correctly.
I need a hunting license to sit in a farmers field and just shoot the groundhogs because they are a pest?
If so, I will go get one. I been doing this my whole life and didnt know this if its true, and I thank you all for enlightening me on this, because im not a hunter. I dont hunt deer, squirrel, or anything like that. I kill pests for fun.
I guess I been a law breaker. I will fix that ASAP (if I really need to)
Oh, and when is groundhog season and what colors should I wear? Would just an orange cap suffice?Last edited by MicroMonkey; June 23rd, 2011 at 07:12 PM.

Re: Groundhog Hunting (Do I need a License?)
Welcome to the PA Game Commission. Unfortunately you are supposed to have a license to eliminate some pesky woodchucks. Obviously woodchuck poaching isn't high on the Commission's list of things to cite people for...but I'm sure if a warden saw you without a license they would make you pay a fine.
Orange cap is all you need for groundhog."Improvise. Adapt. Overcome."
