Issue 1. Not recall but free factory fix. SIG P556 (Ser# TQ001XXX) Bolt: firing pin retaining pin. Pin can not be removed by hand or with a punch. Removal required for proper cleaning/maintenance. Pin at max spec, hole at min spec. Called Sig. they were failure with the problem. They gave shipping and work order info. Mailed on day one from FL. part repaired and received on day five!.

Issue two: Not a factory recall but free factory fix. SIG 522 Bolt buffer rod and "E" clip. E clip and buffer rod fail due to slippage or e clip breakage. Call SIG. They will tell you what parts you need to ship and the will give you shipping information and a work order number. They will ship you a repair kit with all the parts required for your repair/installation. You could probably ship the entire gun if you want them to do the replacement/repair. The bad buffer rods are tapered on the end furthest from the bolt.

Savage Arms B.MAG Bolt (17 WSM)
    http://www.savagearms.com/recall/bmagbolt/

    August 24, 2015

Savage Arms has discovered that the bolt on some B.MAG rifles may inadvertently catch the safety button and slide it forward into the "fire" position. This condition is primarily present if downward pressure is applied to the bolt too early while pushing it forward. While Savage has received no reports of accidents due to this condition, we have decided to offer free retrofits of all B.MAG rifle bolts out of an abundance of caution and in our ongoing commitment to quality and safety.

To avoid possible unintentional discharge or injury, do not use your B.MAG rifle until your bolt has been retrofitted with a new bolt handle and cap. For instructions on receiving your free bolt retrofit, visit www.savagearms.com/recall/bmagbolt/. For other questions related to this bolt recall, call us at 844-784-3301 Monday through Friday 8am to 10pm EST. This retrofit only applies to Savage B.MAG rifle bolts.

The bolt retrofit includes the replacement of the existing bolt handle and bolt cap with a revised bolt handle and bolt cap.

Sig MCX Recall: Mandatory Carriage Replacement.
SIG SAUER - MCX Mandatory Carriage Assembly Replacement Program

SIG SAUER is conducting a mandatory replacement of the carriage assembly in SIG MCX rifles. SIG has found through extensive factory testing that in extremely rare instances, not reported in the field and extremely difficult to replicate, a condition may exist causing an unintended discharge. Failure to follow the loading procedures and basic rules of safe firearms handling outlined in the user’s manual has the potential to cause serious bodily harm or death. Although this has only been witnessed in 300 blackout, SIG has decided to upgrade all MCX models since the MCX is a modular platform and we want to ensure the quality and reliability of all products we manufacture.

Stop use of firearm immediately, and visit the SIG SAUER website listed below as soon as possible to register your firearm, initiate the process and view a video explaining how to change out your carriage assembly. SIG will send you a prepaid box to return your complete carriage assembly to the factory. A new assembly, designed with the firing pin locking mechanism, will be shipped out to you within 5-7 working days of the receipt of your parts at no cost to you. Please note total in transit times will vary based on geographic locations. SIG will also send you a $50 gift voucher for any inconvenience this may have caused. This upgraded carriage assembly addresses this potential issue while enhancing the performance and longevity of your rifle. You may also contact SIG SAUER customer service at the number below with any questions if needed.

SIG SAUER is committed to addressing this issue in an expedited manner, and appreciates your support.
