Did they change the forms for buying handguns?
I went in to pick up my pistol today and the form seemed different to me and I started checking NO boxes. The clerk said are you sure thats accurate? I said I think, but it looks different and I thought there should be a yes second from the bottom....he said in that case I cant sell you the pistol since I checked no on box #1. It was the straw purchase question, but it was either worded different or wasnt number 1 before. Ive bought like 20 pistols in the past 10 years. Did the form change or am I loosing it?
They told me I could do the form again, but not on the same day.
No big deal cant sneak it past the old lady till tommorrow anyhow.

Re: Did they change the forms for buying handguns?
AFAIK, they haven't changed much in the last couple of years. I still read every line just to make sure that they aren't trying to slip one by me. A healthy dose of paranoia can be useful at times.
Know your audience. Don't try to sell a Prius at a Monster Truck Rally.

Re: Did they change the forms for buying handguns?
It's different now than I remember it to be a few years ago. I always look carefully at the wording of each line because I know it has changed a few times since I bought my first gun but I don't know when. I think they probably do that to keep people paying attention instead of getting complacent about knowing which boxes to put the check marks in and zip through it in a few seconds.
I don't have a short temper, I just have a quick reaction to bullshit.
