    Default Lehigh valley mall

    I do not live in your county but I have found out that the lehigh valley mall has rules that say no weapons in their mall. I sent an email and got the standard "this is private property and we can make that rule", everyone needs to contact them and let them know how much business they loose.

    Giant foods also has that policy

    if its not posted at the mall entrance, just CC. posted online is not the same thing, since you would not reasonably encounter this.

    You better hope that holds up in court, because I have a feeling it will not.

    First, they have to have the signs posted where people can actually see them. Then, they have to see you with your gun. Then, they have to tell you to leave. If you don't comply, then you are in for trouble.

    Malls are full of stupid people and overpriced merchandise. I avoid them at all costs, but when I absolutely have to go, I go CC, and I write that as an ardent OCer.

    While this is true of probably 99% of situations like this, they don't have to ask you to leave. They could have you arrested on the spot for trespassing. Is it likely? HELL NO! But is it possible? Yep.

    I think it might, as long as they don't find an internet posting of yours that says you knew it was against mall rules to carry but you did anyway.

    Here's the law:
    (b) Defiant trespasser.--
    (1) A person commits an offense if, knowing that he is
    not licensed or privileged to do so, he enters or remains in
    any place as to which notice against trespass is given by:
    (i) actual communication to the actor;
    (ii) posting in a manner prescribed by law or
    reasonably likely to come to the attention of intruders;

    (iii) fencing or other enclosure manifestly designed
    to exclude intruders;
    (iv) notices posted in a manner prescribed by law or
    reasonably likely to come to the person's attention at
    each entrance of school grounds that visitors are
    prohibited without authorization from a designated
    school, center or program official; or
    (v) an actual communication to the actor to leave
    school grounds as communicated by a school, center or
    program official, employee or agent or a law enforcement
    officer.
    (2) Except as provided in paragraph (1)(v), an offense
    under this subsection constitutes a misdemeanor of the third
    degree if the offender defies an order to leave personally
    communicated to him by the owner of the premises or other
    authorized person. An offense under paragraph (1)(v)
    constitutes a misdemeanor of the first degree. Otherwise it
    is a summary offense.

    just about every mall has the same rule. It's getting to the point where all the malls are owned by half dozen or so companies...

    It has nothing to do with "Democracy". It has to do with the almighty dollar. If they see that they are losing money .....
