Default Kahr P9, will it fire?

Those of you who carry a Karh P9, do you carry with one in the chamber or not? No safety is present and it is a DAO only, so does that negate the need for a safety or does Kahr have something built in like Beretta does on their .380 that will not permit the sidearm to go off when dropped? BTW, I have it in a mike's #3 pocket holster.

I carry a Kahr CW9 with a round in the chamber. The CW9 is a fraternal twin to the P9. The Kahr is safe to carry with a round in the chamber, just keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.

I carry a Kahr PM9 with a round in the chamber. Kahr pistols have a striker block that projects into a recess in the striker, preventing the striker from moving forward unless the trigger is pulled. There is a nice animation of how this works on kahr's website: http://www.kahr.com/KA-2E.html

Hmmm.. looks like the same design as my Kel-Tec P11. No safety on that either but DAO and heavy trigger pull plus a firing pin so light that even a harsh drop wouldn't have enough enertia to fire the weapon.

I still prefer a DAO revolver for CC.
