    Thumbs up "Upgrading" my Colt

My very favorite pistol for carry is my Colt Lightweight Commander. I rarely post pictures of guns here anymore, but this one is special, and has been posted already anyway.

Last week I took it over to Brian Ahearn in Easton to do his magic on it with Cerakote. I asked him to do the frame and other aluminum parts only, leaving the stainless parts stainless. This is what I got back.

It remains to be seen how well it will wear, but it sure looks good, and by all reports, this Cerakote stuff is pretty durable. Brian did a great job, and turned it around in a week. That is a whole lot better track record than some others I could name. I will be doing more business with him as the occasion arises. If anyone has any questions, I will be glad to try and answer them. Brian is a member here, although his screen name escapes me at the moment. You can see his webpage (in development, but the contact stuff is there) below.

Nice work - and I'm glad to see someone does Cerakote in PA. My last two cerakote jobs were done in VA and OR!!!

There's the problem right there Brian! If your screen name had been something like Ing7340boog23 then I could have remembered it!
