Re: Antlerless tags
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Re: Antlerless tags
Just picked up my tags for rifle and archery. However the clerk seems to have misplaced the new books and doe applications.

I was told you couldn't get a new license until 6/20.

Man, I am so far behind this season it's not even funny... I need to stop off one night this week and get my license so I can get my doe tags in the first day possible.

Re: Antlerless tags
Doe tags go in July 11. See the sticky at the top of the page.
I believe the ones being sold now are going to landowners who have a minimum number of acres and are enrolled in the public access programs.
From the digest:
Landowner Antlerless Deer Licenses: Applicants (residents and nonresidents) for landowner antlerless deer licenses must apply
directly to the County Treasurer of the county where the qualifying acreage is located. These licenses must be applied for prior to
start of the regular application period, which begins the second Monday in July this year

Re: Antlerless tags
The standard doe tags go on sale July 13th (double check that day).
The 2011/12 hunting license are being sold now. First day they were available was Monday June 13th.
You can go to:
http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/forestry...maps/index.htm for information on state forest and state park DMAP areas and tag availabilty.
NOTE: in the three areas I hunt in, several DMAP areas have changed bounderies. Another guy told me that one whole DMAP area isn't available this year.
Check the maps in the above link.
To purchase a DMAP tag for state forest or state park, note the DMAP area number. Buy it at any point of sale location by referenceing the DMAP number. You pay - they print. Is your position a short term gain - or a long term loss?
