Re: OC/CC Cookout?
Sounds like a great idea. The Ross Township police are quite firearm-friendly and you could rent a pavilion at the Ross community center cheaply. ACRC does its gun bash there every year so the sight of firearms wouldn't shock anyone.

Re: OC/CC Cookout?
They have three pavilions to choose from and I'm fairly certain all three have grills. I'm a resident so you could use that rate:
SHELTER 1 (Top of hill, beyond outfield of Herb Field)
SHELTER 2(By playground) NO ELECTRICITY
SHELTER 3 (By concession stand)
Ross Township Resident - $50 for 3 hours
$15/hour after first 3 hours
$50/hour Over/Off-Time Charge
Non-Resident/Business - $75 for 3 hours
$25/hour after first 3 hours
$50/hour Over/Off-Time Charge

Re: OC/CC Cookout?
Man, that's kinda high IMO!
But if they are gun friendly and its a nice park, it may be worth it.
I was thinking about taking care of most of the food.
Hot dogs, hamburgers, rolls, buns, chips and soda's. Stuff like that.
Potato Salad would be a must have too!
Im not really a drinker, and since there will be people carrying I dont know how other's would feel if someone wanted to have a beer with their food. I personally dont care if someone drinks (responsibly) so maybe make it a BYOB?
Of course if there is something that you would like to eat or contribute, that would be great too.Last edited by Ricochet; June 8th, 2011 at 07:30 PM.

Re: OC/CC Cookout?
I agree about August; summer is crazy from now through late July but August is open.
There might be other, cheaper places and I'm up for anything. Good thing about Ross though is it's close to the city and easy to find plus there are a lot of members in and around the North Hills. And I know at least one RTPD officer is a member here...

Re: OC/CC/NC ~ Cookout & Picnic ?
Okay hold this shit up right here. No picnic of any sort is going to go down in my hood without proper Q. I'm talking about a real smoker, and some pork shoulders. Brined, rubbed down, smoked proper, brought up to 200 degrees and melting apart before a fork can even touch it. Topped off with some homemade BBQ sauce and horsey. Can you smell what the rock is cooking?
