Looks like I'll finally be able to make it. Haven't made it to one yet this year.

This Saturday the 18th. As long as he has good safe gun handling skills, he's more than welcome. It's a single man event. This is the tactical shoot. Listing it as a multi-gun or 3 gun here on the forum gives people a better idea of what it is. Here is me shooting a stage at one from last year:

my son is a seasoned shooter and is safe, he has been shooting since he was 5 and has been going to long range tactical shoots (he shoots a rem 700 sps 223 and gets 600 yard cold bore hits on a 9" steel plate) and pistol matches (he uses a springfield xd in 45 gap) with me since he was 15 and shot in 3 boy scout shooting contests untill he got his Eagle badge

the competitions he has been in have been team events with me

we might make the july one, but will be in NC for the august one

I had a horrible day...The mags kept falling out of my 2 month old FNX-40 pistol. Something is seriously wrong with it...even tried a super high grip thinking I was hitting the mag release...but it didn't help. The recoil would make the mag drop. I guess I'll be calling FNH 1st thing Monday morning.

Then I had a double feed on my Saiga...never have had a single issue with that gun in more than 2,000 rounds. I can tell you getting a double feed when you know that timer is just ticking away SUCKS. It seemed like FOREVER to get it unjammed. Things were going in slow motion.

What the hell, I can't wait for next month!!! LOL

I think your rifle jam was caused by using the mag as a monopod shooting prone. Ever done that before? Some guns jam when doing that, some don't.

I'm thinking that EXACT same thing. I've only shot it once that way before, but that was on a bench. I had no issues then, but it's the only thing that makes any kind of sense. I'm going to try to duplicate the same thing at the range when I get a chance. I was using a "known" good mag since I mark them.....it was 100% reliable up until today. I had a bi pod with me too...stupid of me not to use it on that stage!
