    Default damascus blades

How do these blades hold up to hunting conditions?

Work very well as long as the knife is a quality knife and good steel. I have a few that I hunt with exclusively. I think they are great.l

If they are well made from good steels, they hold up very well. If they were made by someone with marginal skills, or a bad choice of metals, they can degrade very quickly.

Mass produced knives made with good quality control should hold up as well as any other decent knife.

I make damascus (pattern welded) steel as a hobby and tend to like 1084/15n20 or 1095 with 200 series nickel.
