Obama mentioned his church during his appearance with Oprah. It's the Trinity Church
Obama mentioned his church during his appearance with Oprah. It's the Trinity Church of Christ. I found this interesting.
Obama's church:
Please read and go to this church's website and read what is written there. It is very alarming.
Barack Obama is a member of this church and is running for President of the U.S. If you look at the first page of their website, you will learn that this congregation has a non-negotiable commitment to Africa. No where is AMERICA even mentioned. Notice too, what color you will need to be if you should want to join Obama's church... B-L-A-C-K!!! Doesn't look like his choice of religion has improved much over his (former?) Muslim upbringing.
Are you aware that Obama's middle name is Mohammed? Strip away his nice looks, the big smile and smooth talk and what do you get? Certainly a racist, as plainly defined by the stated position of his church! And possibly a covert worshiper of the Muslim faith, even today. This guy desires to rule over America while his loyalty is totally vested in a Black Africa!
I cannot believe this has not been all over the TV and newspapers.
This is why it is so important to pass this message along to all of
our family & friends. To think that Obama has even the slightest
chance in the run for the presidency, is really scary.

Mohammad? He took the name Mohammad? He should be stoned or flogged for that.

Larry:
I checked this out and didn't find anything that lists this church as exclusive to blacks. I did notice the membership page was 404'ing (not found - link), not sure if it's been that way or they're aware of the political liability.
Sidebar:
Not intending this as a defense for Obama, but...Muslim in the afro-centric context is very different from the middle eastern Mohammed-centered Islam. Note that the afro-brand Muslims worship a certain Wallace Fard Mohammed (details), a former Michigan resident. This movement went on to become Nation of Islam (website), now headed by Louis Farrakhan. The middle eastern Muslims worship the teachings of a 7th century scholar.
Extreme simplification - The main focus of NOI is more cultural viewpoint, Islam is more a true religion.Gloria: "65 percent of the people murdered in the last 10 years were killed by hand guns"
Archie Bunker: "would it make you feel better, little girl, if they was pushed outta windows?"

About Us
We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community.
The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision:
1. A congregation committed to ADORATION.
2. A congregation preaching SALVATION.
3. A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION.
4. A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.
5. A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION.
6. A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION.
7. A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA.
8. A congregation committed to LIBERATION.
9. A congregation committed to RESTORATION.
10. A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY.

Yes, he picked a bit of a radical church. However, it likely fits some of his views and more important the views of his base of support.
the African-American community tends to hold more spititual beliefs and attend church than other populations. As a result to have a candidate without organized religion would be political suicide. So if you are Obama and have to pick a church (because you are NOT revealing your native islam) why not pick one that makes you seem more "black"?
Oh, and PA Rifleman was spot on with his definition of Islam Negro. While it is gaining popularity it is NOT Islam as we define it in the middle east. It's black power wrapped around a core of light muslum ideas with an african flair.

Well I would never vote for the guy, or any of the libs that are running currently. With that being said, Obama has been asked many times what his religious beliefs are, and I think he finally let it be known as so many were suggesting he is Muslim. For not answering I actually think more of him.
Last thing I want to see is another president who lets his faith sway policy or important decisions.
Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford were both religious men, but it was never an issue as they kept it personal.
