Gun transfer from AZ to PA
I bought a small handgun (Jennings 22) from a gun store while living in Arizona many years ago (1986 ?) , now I'm back in Pennsylvania. Do I need to register it? If so, how do I go about it?

Call your nearest FFL and ask.
If you need a list of FFLs just ask and I can bring some up.

Re: Gun transfer from AZ to PA
If the handgun is already in Pennsylvania, then it's too late.
If it was yours to begin with, there's no need to deal with an FFL (that's required if you're shipping it out-of-state to someone else). You may or may not have technically transported it to Pennsylvania, but that's not the question posed.
There is no handgun registration in Pennsylvania (PSP keeping track of all sales and known transfers is another matter altogether). You're good to go.Last edited by Statkowski; November 12th, 2006 at 10:18 PM.

Re: Gun transfer from AZ to PA
I think I'm in this same boat. I'll be moving to PA sometime in the near future and I've got two handguns and a rifle that I'd like to bring with me that are currently in "storage." Since they were purchased/registered in AZ is there anything else I need to do before I move to PA?

No just bring them to PA.
If you lived in AZ at one point and purchased firearms during your residency there I am unaware of anything you have to do except just bring them with you when you move to PA.
The only time there is an issue is if you live in one state and try to buy a firearm in another state and bring it back with you.Dan P, Founder & President, Pennsylvania Firearm Owners Association
