Patriot Match

Lewistown Pistol Club is proud to announce we will be hosting the Patriot Match this year on August 27 & 28. This is a sanctioned, 11 stage IDPA match. There will be two shooting sessions each day, with 40 openings per session.

For those of you that may be once bitten, twice shy because of last years last minute cancellation, please be assured that this will not happen this year. As many of you know, we are being sued by our new neighbor. Last year he dumped a load of stone in front of our gate about a week prior to the match. This prevented us from being able to set up the match in time to host the Patriot Match. The stone was removed on the Wednesday prior to the match, unfortunately this did not allow enough time to set up and therefore we had no choice but to cancel. I made this decision last year very reluctantly. We could have scrambled and got set up (maybe), but we felt it would be better to cancel than to put on a sub-standard match. We felt we have only one chance to make a first impression. All this being said, we have retained the services of a very good attorney to represent us in the lawsuit, he has assured us that if the neighbor tries anything like last year we will be taking action immediately to remedy the situation.

Anyway, the 2011 Patriot Match will be a great time. Dan B. is the match designer and along with Pat C. and myself are the Match Directors. Having seen the stages, I think this will be a challenging match that should be alot of fun to shoot. Come on out to Central PA and enjoy!
