Default Is San Francisco County Sheriff Michael Hennessey Above The Law?

After 32 years in office, San Francisco County Sheriff Michael Hennessey believes that every common, law-abiding Californian's basic, fundamental, and enumerated civil right to self-defense does not deserve to be honored within his jurisdiction. What do you think?

The good citizens (subjects?) of San Francisco sent Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, and Diane Feinstein to Congress to campaign relentlessly against pretty much everything we stand for. They elect none but the most "progressive" candidates to local office. Frankly, it's a bit tough to get worked up about those who make a consistent choice to surrender their rights at the ballot box and to try to impose their "nanny state" on the rest of us.

Yep. Seems like this guy was reelected - what - 8 times? I'd say the voters of San Francisco know exactly what they're doing and are repeatedly electing a guy they KNOW will continue to break the law. His constituents must be quite happy with the way he blatantly ignores the law because they don't want it upheld.

the powers that be toss about the T word to violate our constitutional rights as if they just dont care.

could such persons as this guy be declared, by the citezens as " enemies of the state" for not supporting the national and state constitution? for violating civil rights, continuous and repeatedly?

what recourse does the public at large have?

They don't care, they are bought and paid for. They government is tyrannical and will always tend to grow itself.

The recourse the public at large has is enumerated in the 2nd amendment when all other means fail, see "the battle of athens tennessee" for more on this.

You can declare them whatever you want, unless you will back it up being willing to lose EVERYTHING like the men that founded this nation and by doing so became TRAITORS to England it really does not mean much. When government becomes tyrannical you have to withdraw your consent, when enough people do this the system collapses (recent "revolutions" within the Arab world prove that when people with draw consent even unarmed people can force change).

The ballot box and a recall election can accomplish this. But it has to be done by those who elected them in the first place. We really don't want the Feds tossing local officials out of office for "crimes against the state" according to the prevailing attitude in the Justice Department, do we? Most of their constituents approve of their actions, much as most Philadelphians apparently approve of the "fine" job Commissioner Ramsey and his sometime thugs are doing to make Philadelphia "safer."

There's not much more to be said, really. You got the government you wantd. Stop electing radical leftists, socialist liberals, and dirty hippies who not only treat you like shit, but threaten the rights of the rest of the country, and maybe your civil rights will be respected, and I might actually care about the Left Coast. Until then, go slide off of a continental shelf.

Just FYI, the County of San Francisco is only the City of SF -- there is no rural area. Thus the Sheriff is elected by the people who live in the same city that has tried to outlaw the US military.
