Default Magazines - where are you buying them?

So I need some mags. I've looked around a few stores, but finding a good selection of mags is hard, and paying the man his 6 or 7 percent on top is annoying when you need a bunch of mags.

Where are you buying your mags at? I can search the net with the best of them, but I know you guys have secret hookups. Out with it!

Specifically after Wilson Combat 8rnd 45 and Kahr P45/CW45 6 or 7rnd mags.

If you're ONLY paying a 6-7% markup, you'll probably break even at best after shipping, ordering them on-line. My local shoppe likes charging $30+ for PMags; now THAT, I can beat on-line. I'd LOVE to find someplace local with ONLY a 6-7% markup though!

I typically hit the gun show that hits Greencastle every now and then. I hate paying $5 to get in, but there's a vendor that shows up that runs $15 PMAGs and has a huge selection of "exotic" magazines. I've picked up reasonable priced XD, Bersa, and Ruger SR9c mags there. I save my cash, then buy a lot at once, spreading that $5 entry fee out. That's just me though...

Sorry, I wasn't talking about markup. The LGS owner needs to eat like everyone else. I was talking about the 6 or 7% the MAN takes in taxes. That 7 is only a 7 in the People's Republic of Allegheny Co, where decades of overspending and employing every Dick and Jane in PA has been rewarded with special taxation rights.

From Giant Eagle, WalMart, Sheetz, Barnes & Noble, places like that.

Seriously -- Midway, Brownells, CDNN, Centerfire. I usually bundle any mags in with other stuff to take advantage of the shipping charges.

Normally Midway when I place an order for something else I'll toss them in. Gunshows and local shops too, but never from the box stores again, got suckered when I was new and paid $50 for a Beretta 92 magazine at a Gander Mtn...

Nothing wrong with buying factory mags made for your gun, especially if your 1911 (I assume it is the .45 you're talking about) is a Colt, Springfield Armory, or a Taurus.

I have found a few good deals over at GunBroker.com

I need to buy some extra Sig 229 .40 mags myself.
