    Default CZ-82 Project

Ahhhhh, finally done. I purchased a surplus CZ-82 several months ago and decided to make it my "project gun". I had heard a lot of great things about the 9mm makarov CZ-82 and they were all true, very nice piece.
So, I sent the gun out to Mahovsky's in Grand Valley Pa. to be refinished in their Metalife finish - came out real nice ! I also ordered some sweet grips from Marschal grips ( deep red wood grain, checkered, logo'd, small thumb rest ) - they took over 3 months to be made, but fit perfect. Replaced the springs with new Wolff springs, had it all checked out, blah, blah, blah. So my baby is done, and if I do say so myself, think it's one sweet CZ. Hope you enjoy

Wow, that is the nicest 82 I've ever seen. How much did the re-finish set you back?

$ 155.00 for the refinish. I have more in the gun that it's worth, but that wasn't a concern. Paid $189 for the gun from CDNN, $ 155 for the refinish, $70 for the grips, $15 for springs, so $ 429 total. Never going to sell, totally for self enjoyment

Looks great...they do good work with hard chroming...just don't expect them to ever answer the phone or reply to email.

I am going to get a CZ82 and refinish it myself.

You are right - was tough to get Ron to answer email - but when I finally talked to him on the phone, a real good guy. Did the work quicker than promised and great work - couldn't be happier !
