1911 slide with 38/9mm firing pin hole
I'm gathering parts for a MEU SOC pistol build. The slide I bought came with a 38 Super/9mm firing pin channel. I've read differing reasons for this. Caspsian claims it prevents primer flow, others claim it was to meet the CA DOJ drop test.
The problem is I bought a .45 ACP firing pin, and firing pin stop.
IS it worth it have it reamed out to fit the .45 FP, or should I just buy the proper FP, and FPS?AR accessories - Barbie for men

Re: 1911 slide with 38/9mm firing pin hole
I would use the firing pin and stop it was designed to use, personally.

Re: 1911 slide with 38/9mm firing pin hole
Therein lies the problem. Various manufacturers use various sized .38 Super firing pins. Since I don't know who made my slide (bought it on GB from Numrich), I don't know what sized pin to buy.
