Talking Finally got my New Toy

Picked up a Springfield 1911 Mil-Spec today. Already been to the range and now home to show it off. I have been after a 1911 for a few months, couldn't put my hands on one until today. Thanks to Taylors Trading Post in Biglerville, was there for over an hour trying to decide between this one or a new S&W E-Series Tactical. I loved the S&W, but couldn't justify $400 more for it.

Nice piece! I didn't know that they came with spare grips, what kinds are they?

Beautiful! How much did it cost, and is Taylors Trading post a place you'd recommend? Been meaning to check it out.

They are hard plastic ones styled after WWII style grips on the 1911's. For if you do re-enactments, for the "traditional look" of WWII. I have a Mil-Spec also, same spare grips.

I was very pleased with his inventory, lots on pistols, ammo, holsters, ect. Now, I wasn't quite up to par on the prices of the Mil-Spec, I had did some homework on the 1911's Springfield offered, and knew what they sold for. I was just happy he had one in stock, and I think he got me on it, we talked about how hard they are to find, and he got full MSRP out of me, with no lube.

I told him I heard good things about his shop on here, and everyone talked him up. I may give him a ring tomorrow and let him know i'm a little disappointed with the price. Maybe since they are so hard to find right now, he felt he had all rights to get MSRP for it.

    Why?

You could have walked away but you didn't.

Take it like a man, please.
