Wolf Will Hurt my G22
Hi all. Last week I went to a pay per hour range in Monroe Cty. While shooting my G22, .40 a range safety officer came up to me during target changes and said he noticed I was shooting Wolf steel cased ammo. He told me he sees Wolf break the extractors on handguns frequently as the steel case has no give like brass.
I have used alot of the Wolf without any problems. Anyone ever hear this ? Truth or gun range myth? The staff there are nice enough and all carry custom 1911s from what I saw. Maybe thats the problem!

He's an idiot. Steel cases ammo won't hurt your Glock or any other handgun.
The extractor goes OVER the case rim, be it brass or steel. What "give" does he think there is in the case rim??

Range myth! This is the problem with high matainance guns and there owners. Just because his custom double tap wiz bang dont like Wolf ammo, does not mean that you should not shoot it! You should have told him if you wanted a pretty gun you would have bought one like his, however you chose a Glock because it works!
Aggies Coach Really ??? Take off the tin foil bro.

It's BS, are you sure that the "idiot" was RO and not a "Range Ninja"

Yeah...Steel Case it what makes an AK a POS -- For the Record, Never had a problem with Wolf other than my Kel-Tec P3 hates it.
I've shot it in everything from an HK P7 to an AR with Zero Trouble.

Re: Wolf Will Hurt my G22
I shot a lot of wolf ammo last year, out of my AR and my Glock...Never had a problem.
That guy is full of crap. If it was true, all of those who have shot the stuff would be boycotting it because we can't save enough gas money to buy a new extractor for out glockzzzzzz....

Re: Wolf Will Hurt my G22
Well, I think you got your answer.
I've shot all sorts of stinky Russian steel cased ammo out of a couple Glocks. Never had a single problem. I shot an entire case of Tula through one of my G27s. Worked fine, maybe 4 or 5 hard primers in the case. And it smells funny. Aside from that, it's like paying brass 9mm prices for .40 S&W. (almost.)Selling off a a sizeable Spyderco collection here
