Price range of low-end automatic
I'm considering getting an auto soon, but the price range would have to be ~1000$ and that is after I sell 2 guns. In my county (fayette) I hear its not too hard to obtain the paperwork, so I'm wondering if its worth the bother if this is all the cash I have to work with.
I'd consider a .22lr auto if they exist, but want it to be reliable, and able to shoot fast (faster than fast trigger pull semi obviously). I have browsed the classifieds here occasionally but haven't seen anything under 1K like this. I'd prefer something in 9mm.

Re: Price range of low-end automatic
Forget about buying a MG for $1000, they only exist in memory.
THE cheapest MG will be one of the MAC series and depending on condition, model, and extras should be about $3000 and up.

You're not getting one for $3K. But you might be able to get a MAC for a little less than $3K, maybe $2,500 if you are lucky. But you would have to be patient. You would probably get a deal like that from somebody that wants to sell but is not advertising the item for sale.

If you want to scan all the major NFA boards for deals, try:

It's a great little application made by a stand-up guy.

Re: Price range of low-end automatic
well, to be accurate, yer seeing SWD M11/9s for that price.
MAC is not an interchangeable word here.. MAC = Military Armament Corporation Model 10, designed by Gordon Ingram.
you arent getting an actual MAC-10/45 or MAC10/9 for $2500-3K
MAC-10s and M11/9s(and M12-380s).. totally different guns."Oderint Dum Metuant" - BMFH
