Detonics anyone?

I noticed a nice little Detonics .45 at the gunshop while doing a recon yesterday and bought it for a good price. It has a nickel frame and hammer and a blued slide and slide latch and ambi-safety and is fairly new...or at least, not shot much and stored well. I understand that there have been several incarnations of the pistol and am curiouis if anyone knows how to determine which one I have by sn or any other means? It's not as well done as some I've seen, leading me to think I may have one of the "mid" ones. Regards, Al
