Smith & Wesson .22/.32 Kit Gun.

So named because it was a .22 built on a .32 frame. Round butt and
4" barrel with adjustable sights is typical of the model.

Looks like it is Pre-model numbering.

It looks like a Mod 34-4. I have a 34-2 that I purchased for my wife to target shoot. The model 34 was a 6 shot 22 cal on a j-frame. The only difference from the pictures from my weapon is the cylinder release button. The weapon should have the model number visible after you open the cylinder below the ejection rod slot.

It may be older than mine and may even have a different model designation. Great weapon to target shoot with. I do not believe these are made anymore.

Thanks for all the help. This gun was offered to me as payment to pay down some debt that is owed to me. What would be a good price to offer them on this gun in it condition?

I agree. The flat cylinder release gives it the appearance of an early one. My Standard Catalog lists a 1953 .22/32 Target (Pre-Model 35). Listed as produced form 1953-1969; serial # 101-135465. Given the 20,xxx number probably in the 55-56 as in 57 they were called Model 35, and should be so marked on the frame.

In fair $200 or good $300. From the pictures it looks like the gun may have actually been carried in a tackle box. Still if it locks up tight and shoots accurately I'd give you $250.

Noah Zark may opine soon and then we should know.
