Default New grip for my trusty ol' 5906

    Hello all,

I finally got my new grips today for my S&W 5906. Up til now I've had the standard black grips but I wanted wooden grips like what Hogue offers. When I ordered the Hogue Rosewood grips I was looking at a backorder time of around 3 - 6 months! Yow! Plus the Hogue grips are significantly wider than the standard ones. Since I couldn't find a set of the S&W faux wooden grips anymore I went and made my own. I sent three grips to Hydro Print Services in FL. Here's their website:

The printing cost $30 plus $5 for shipping for each grip. Turnaround time was a few weeks. Scott Hartman at Hydro Print Services communicated with me every step of the way. My grip is done in Mahogany. I also got another done in brushed stainless steel. I'll show that one in a day or two after I switch the grips out. These guys are great and I'm really happy with the results. I don't know if the new grips will make me a better shooter but at least my 5906 is happy.
