Tokarev TT-33 Firing Pin Retaining Pin
I have a Romanian TT-33 and a Yugo MD-57. I was cleaning both and I noticed the firing pin sticking out on the TT-33. I flipped the slide on it's side and sure enough, the firing pin retaining pin is missing. I have absolutely no idea how it came out but perhaps it had been broken and just fell out while cleaning. I read that some folks have had theirs broken by dry firing. Anyway, I need to replace it but I cannot find one online.
Does anyone know where I can get one?
If not, I'm guessing a roll pin could possibly work? Has anyone replaced theirs with something else? I was thinking of visiting Ace Hardware tomorrow to find something in a similar diameter. I could cut it down to just under the width of the slide and tap it into place. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had to resort to doing this as well."The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism.
