Just wondering,,,,Luzerne is to change to home rule and the sheriff is to be appointed. Will he or she be pro or anti gun? Remember, this is Luzerne county where it has been who you know, or kiss up, or pay off to......Get your carry permit now while you still can.

That's great to hear, but they should have been charging $25 before it dropped to $20.

I was kind of expecting it to be lowered to $25

WILKES-BARRE - Luzerne County Sheriff John F. Gilligan on Tuesday reduced the cost of a permit to carry a concealed gun from $31 to $20.
Gilligan said he made the decision after finding out Monday that the office was overcharging by $6 and can no longer impose a $5 surcharge to fund a statewide initiative on license technology.
"I said, 'Well it's going to $20 today,'" Gilligan said Tuesday.

He "just discovered on Monday" that he was charging too much???? Somehow I doubt that....

Actually you can, you were legally overcharged and are eligible to seek repayment.

Call or visit your County Controller's office, they should be able to help you get that refund.
