MCSA Steel plate match
Steel Plate Shoots
Registration: 12:00pm
Shoot Time: 1:00pm
Join us for a fun day
Four Plate Scenarios will be shot.
Each scenario is made of five steel plates.
Four are the target plates, and the fifth is the stop plate.
There is no limit on the number of rounds that can be fired.
A hip holster is required for center fire handguns.
Those firing a .22 caliber handgun are not required to use a holster.
No magnum caliber firearms permitted.
25 Rounds per scenario. Total rounds 100.
Recommended rounds150.
There are .22 and center-fire divisions, with separate classes for autos and revolvers, with either optics or iron sights.
Match Fees $15.00
M.C.S.A. Member $10.00
Reshoot $5.00
Note, we don't always do reshoots, but often do. If you think you'd like to shoot a second time/gun, be sure to bring alone enough ammo.
Directions
From State College 322 east.
Burnham/Yeagertown exit (Super 8 motel 717-242-8888), right on to the Ferguson Valley Rd. approximately 2 miles to Ellen Chapel Ln., turn right, go through yellow gate and follow road past large pond, right to Archery range and left to Clubhouse, 5 stand, trap, handgun and rifle ranges.
From Harrisburg 322 west.
Burnham/Yeagertown exit (Clarion Inn 717-248-4961) turn right to the Ferguson Valley Rd. and follow directions above.
From Mt. Union 522 north.
At Strodes Mills turn left on to Strodes Run Road approx. 1.5 miles to the Ferguson Valley Rd. turn right approx. 5 miles to Ellen Chapel Church and Ellen Chapel Lane (on your left).
From Selinsgrove 522 south.
Take 322 west and follow directions above.

Handguns only currently. .22 rifle was also asked about, and if we expand any, that would probably come first.

Well thats a bummer would have made the drive for that, but i can keep my fingers crossed and hope your club adds them.

Heading out now to start setup. If you haven't been out before, the shooting positions are covered, so don't let the rain keep you from coming out.

Just a reminder our next match is this weekend. This is a family friendly match, we've had competitors from 7ish to 70something in the past. (under 18 need parental supervision) Everyone is welcome, come out for a fun day at the range.

Went with my friend today and had a great time! Very friendly, welcoming environment. I'll be back next month. I was the guy with the Glock 19.
