    Default Kel-Tec PMR-30 suspended

Kel-Tec have currently suspended production of the Kel-Tec PMR-30 due to keyholing issues with the gun. keyholing happens with the rate of twist in the barrel doesn’t stabilize the bullet in flight. The result is that the projectile tumbles and loses both accuracy and velocity at a much more rapid rate than a properly stabilized bullet

That is stinky. I guess it's a good thing I didn't pick one up the other month.

That's downbeat. I am keeping my "PMR-30 fund" ready for action if they work the bugs out, though!

It's for 2 weeks, they redesigned the barrel... And if you have issues they are replacing barrels free of charge. This isn't doomsday, it's progress.

This...two weeks is nothing considering the fact that most people have never even seen a PMR in the LGS.

I had my slide/barrel replaced due to a ruptured case and I haven't had any issues with it since it came back from the repair department.

All that KT is doing is changing the twist on the barrel and they ditched having the barrels fluted. I am keeping my fluted barrel unless I have issues with keyholing, which I have yet to see with my pistol.

That's good. I figured they would work out the kinks. For folks who already purchased one, I figured they would have a sort of "recall" option.

My funds are ready when Kel Tec is ready...

One of my online friends has one, and the polymer or whatever under the barrel warped/drooped after only like 100 or 200 rounds. This gun I have heard is hard to find in most venues... I was interested until I heard all that.
