I will second that.. Chris is a great guy and Ace is the top shop in the area.. kinda like a Walmart for Firearms..

As for ranges, in the summer there is a range at the top of the Arden Fairgraounds that is fairly inexpensive and you get a lot of alone time on the outdoor pistol range.. if you shoot skeet and trap, you will like it as well, but no rifles unfortunately.. They have a new website: http://www.washingtonsportsmen.com/

Pitcairn/Monroeville is the top facility in the area, and truthfully its not too far to be easily accessible. I plan on joining sometime soon myself. Talk to Chris about it on your next trip to Ace. They host a ton of training classes there as well.

The Dormont Mt Lebonan Sportsman club has closed it membership.
I think it's only temporary. There have been a lot of issue with people violating range rules lately and they want to get a handle on it. Not to mention a huge number of new members.

Just a few examples. Someone shot a big stuffed tiger and those little foam beads blew all over the place including the creek. Someone shot a glass, computer parts, etc and didn't clean it up. Trash being left laying around. People shooting up target frames and other things they shouldn't be shooting.

It's always a few bad apples that ruin it for everyone else.
