Default Positive interaction with a state trooper

So, i was broken down on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck and a state trooper pulls up. He comes to my window and asks me for my drivers license, so i tell him I'm waiting for a tow truck, give him my drivers license and nothing more. He runs my drivers license, sets up some road flares, gives me my DL back, tells me to have a nice day and to call if i need anything.

The entire time i was concealing my glock 19 and it was like he didn't even notice...i wonder why?

    Learn from my experiences.

Most likely would have been the same experience if you would have given him your LTCF...or even told him you were concealing.

I've never heard of someone being held at gunpoint or assaulted by a state trooper who didn't know they were carrying.

Why give him information and paperwork that isn't relevant? That's just looking for trouble.

So basically you're saying there is no need to reveal the fact that we're carrying unless he asks?

Well, even if he asks you something like "are there any weapons in the car", there's no need to reveal anything. Simply put him back on track by asking why you were pulled over and if you're free to leave.

There is no duty to inform in PA.

So, I shouldn't answer his question, but try to change the subject instead?

Should they specifically ask you if you have any weapons you shouldn't lie but otherwise why volunteer info?

So as i have been reading if I get pulled over I dont have""required"" to tell the officer I am carrying. I was under the assuption that the law required you to inform the officer.

As mentioned previously, there is no such requirement in PA.
