Need Help Identifying an H&R revolver....
My grandfather recently passed away and left me a few presents. Unfortunately out of the five her left me, two are unrecognizable by me. One is an H&R 5 shot revolver chambered in .38S&W. There is no serial number or model markings anywhere on this baby. On the left side of its octagonal barrel are the markings H&R Arms Company, Worcesters MA U.S.A. On the top of the frame above the cylinder it is marked The American Double Action. Other than that are absolutely no markings on the revolver. If anyone can tell me anything about this revolver it would be greatly appreciated!!

Its what appears to be an H&R model 32. Its not made for modern rounds. Very nice pistol by the way. It looks to be in great shape.

"American Double Action" is what it is, just like it says on the top strap. Its appears to be a first model third variation, nickel plated. Blackpowder only.

You might check the cal. American Double-Action made in 28,32,or 44 cal.
Centerfire DA. 2 1/2'' 4 1/2'',or 6'' barrel.Hard rubber grips. Approximately 850,000 where made between 1883-1940. I hope this helps.

Re: Need Help Identifying an H&R revolver....
Thank you guys for the quick response. I will be sure to double check the caliber. We found it in his sock drawer next to a bag of rounds marked .38S&W. I also came across this website just recently, can anyone verify some of the info?
