need new rifle for hunting

im thinking something in .308 so some opinions maybe im looking around 350 to 550 and i want reliable and smooth i also shoot left handed

Savage make a LH 308 in that price range.

You might consider a Tikka T3 too, they have a reputation for being great shooters (mine is). 308 is a good all around hunting cartridge.

You'll definitely want to get to a gunstore with a good variety of rifles on hand and try different ones. The stock will feel different, the safety will be different, you may not like the looks of one etc.

My Dad uses a Browing A-bolt for lefty shooting. He likes it alot. I'm more of a 700 Remington person myself. I own a few of them in different flavors.

For my purposes, I ended up choosing a Kimber 8400 in .270WSM with a Leupold VX-R 3-9x40 scope. The scope is being mounted now, so I haven't shot it yet.
