TLE/RL upgrades?
Im looking to upgrade my tle/rl... The gun is great as it is however I think it can be made better! The tle/rl is my ccw and I plan to bobtail the grip with an EB mainspring housing... I want to upgrade the grip safety, thumb safety, slide release, pretty much everything that can be upgraded... im not a fan of mim parts... Has anyone out there completely "rebuilt" a tle/rl?... Im trying to figure out which parts will fit it the best and I dont mind doing some home smithing on it... I want to use EB, Wilson and or Nighthawk parts... As always all thoughts comments and ideas are welcome! thanks to all in advance!!

Re: TLE/RL upgrades?
I thought I showed you that one before. Oh well!
The bob-job was done by the previous owner, a Florida LEO who was ALSO his department's certified Glock & 1911 Armorer. I had it cerakoted at Amelon Firearms LLC down in VA.
Added a Wilson Ambidextrous safety in SS, a Wolff 16lb mainspring, and Chip McCormick ultrathin rosewood grips, and - VOLIA! A like-new pistol. Got the TLR-1s from Express Policy supply in KC, but I got mine a few months ago when they were on sale for $84.99. They went back up, I see.
Chip McCormick 10 rnd. stainless Shooting Star Mag, too.

Re: TLE/RL upgrades?
Wolff is an aftermarket spring mfg., and are some of the best around. They make various size/poundage springs, based on your need. A full-size 1911 might take an 18lb spring normally, but with the Commander-sized slide, I thought a new 16lb spring would be plenty firm for controllability. If you ran a steady diet of +P ammo for instance, an 18lb spring might serve you better. It's all in how you use it.

Re: TLE/RL upgrades?
The highest officer/compact spring midway had was 20lbs without custom ordering one with a 4 week wait time ruffly... i bought the 20lb spring for around 3$ so if it doesn't work properly its not a major loss... i also purchased other WC and EB parts!
Keep the words of wisdom pouring all the more the better! Thanks again!
