10/22 Mods? Tell me about them

Recently picked up 10/22 Tactical (no iron sights, w flash suppressor),myself and have been looking at the After market stocks,bipeds etc out there. Just wanted to see what you guys have done w yours. Pics if u want to. Thought it might help me with my decision.

I don't mean to detract from the OP, but I'm in the market for one of these and I'm looking for recommendations to help me choose between the tactical and the carbine.

You do not need 99.99% of the after market stuff out there.

THe 10/22 is such a well designed and thought out gun you really dont need any thing for it.

THose super duper carbon fiber barrel and what not will only shoot a tad better than your factory barrel etc.
not worth the hundreds of dollars you will spend.
THe only thing i would recommend is a after market drop in trigger unit to replace the heavy lawyer trigger.

Spend your money on ammo and range time and have fun, dont get hung up in gadgetry and add ons.

I currently have several 10/22's. One of the has been Modified. It has a bull barrel, titanium firing pin and extractor. I also rebuilt the trigger group and the mag button and the bolt lock.

I recently just picked up a charger. I will be playing around with the trigger group on it as well.

Only original part is the receiver. Boyd's/Volquartsen stock, Green Mountain gain twist barrel and all other part Volquartsen. I have about $600 wrapped up in it.

That stock is Gorgeous !!
