Unhappy question about ohio non resident permit???

i recently purchased my first handgun(FN 57) and will be obtaining my pa permit. i was wondering do i have to have my pa permit for a certain length of time before i can start obtaining non resident permits from other states that dont honor the pa permit? another question i have is when i obtain my ohio permit, does that allow me to carry in states that dont honor the pa permit, but do honor the ohio permit? any insight would be greatly appreciated, this is all very confusing and i dont wanna get my butt in hot water...

I don't think there's a waiting period for other states.

Ohio does not issue non-resident permits.

Permits you can get easily: NH, VT, UT, FL, CT, ME, VA and AZ. Hard but possible: NV, TX, Mass., RI.

SC and ME are the only states that you have to worry about resident/non-resident permit status with if you have a PA LTCF. Otherwise, MI, CO, FL, NH, ME and SC only honor resident permits.

ETA: VA, UT, AZ or FL will get you Ohio.

I got my PA and FL concealed carry permits. I got the FL permit so I could carry in OH and a few more states that don't accept PA's.
Here's the link to ordering FL's CC application. http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/FOR...equest790.html. Make sure you check the box "Request printed copy via U.S. Mail" so you get the complete application with the fingerprint card. You'll get a 8.5 x 11 size envelope in the mail with instructions on what they require. Pretty easy really.
