Re: Glock 26 Failure to Extract
I Had A 26 ,you have described my experience with it better than I could have.
I no longer have it , I am now happy to carry a S&W Mod. 60 357.
I may have lost 5 rounds of carried ammo,But,I'd dam sure rather carry 5 I have no doubt
about going down range than 10 I need to worry about my sissy wrists not making go bang
Just Saying
Good luck with it!

Re: Glock 26 Failure to Extract
I'm hoping to get the results tomorrow (Friday) and will update. I think the worst news would be "I found nothing wrong. It shot fine for me." This would probably mean that my Glock is really really susceptible to limp-wristing which is not a preferred characteristic for me.
I would rather die in a shootout than get assassinated in a "gun free zone"

Re: Glock 26 Failure to Extract
So have we completely ruled out the EDP as the problem area? When I saw this the pics I thought to myself "looks broken extractor or like the plunger is either the wrong one or isn't in there". I'm interested, consider this a tag

Re: Glock 26 Failure to Extract
If you pull the barrel out of the gun do the rounds just drop in the chamber or are they tight? I've seen small pieces of brass break off and get stuck to the chamber wall but this usually prevented the round from chambering.
If it turns out to be a limp wrist problem go with a slightly lighter recoil spring and it will make it a little more forgiving. I did this with the 1911 my son shoots and also my G17 so I can shoot light reloads up to +P with no problems. Maybe 1-4 lbs lighter than stock. Start at 1 or 2. If you go too light it can creat a whole new problem with firing out of battery.Any vote for a third party is a vote for a Democrat. You are the enemy.

Re: Glock 26 Failure to Extract
GLOCK- makea an excellent handgun- why does a lot of people add this and that parts from wherever. and then wonder why the dam thing doesn't work right. maybe we all should leave it stock and it may work perfectly for many, many years....I've had a glock 26 since they 1st came on the scene have done nothing to it except keep it cleaned and safety checked from time to time and have never had a problem with it shooting all kinds of 9mm ammo
like 9mm, 9mm +p, 9mm +p+ and yes even factory reloads w/ no ,zilch,nada problems. just my 2 cents

Re: Glock 26 Failure to Extract
I don't have any word about it yet. The gentlmen that is working on my problem wasn't in when I had visited this week.
Since the gun was jamming with myself and another shooter, I think limp-wristing is prob out. Plus, limp-wristing causes stove pipes not so much FT Extract. I'm betting on an extractor or ejector problem. The only mod that was done to my gun that could cause such a problem is the SS guide rod and spring. But those have since been put back original with no improvements.I would rather die in a shootout than get assassinated in a "gun free zone"
