Sign at Gander Mountain
I thought this was great.
The sign on the door of the Williamsport (actually Lycoming Mall) Gander Mountain said, in effect;
PLEASE CHECK ALL FIREARMS AND BOWS AT THE FRONT DESK UPON ENTERING THE STORE. GUNS USED FOR CCW ARE EXEMPT.

I heard cabellas changed theres also. I don't think carry pieces were there intent originally, I think it was so some bubba didn't walk around with a loaded gun they we going to take to the gun counter
Be very afraid of a man with only one gun.

Re: Sign at Gander Mountain
thats a good thing
I was working in Harrisburg last year for 2 months
the 1st time i went to Bass pro
i noticed there sign that said all guns must be checked in.
so i told the manager I was carrying, He said do you have a permit? I said yes and he said have a nice day Sir let me know if you need help finding anything.
I then went up stairs and bought all there Remington .223
the gun dept. guys thought i was alittle strange because after i cleaned them out. I went back for some shotgun shell i forgot and heard one employee saying to another some guy just came in here and bought ALL the Rem 223 wonder where he is going... as i walked around the corner i said im right here are you sure you dont have anymore in the back????
HAHA that was a good day

Re: Sign at Gander Mountain
I saw the same sign at the Robinson blander mountain a long, long time ago.

Re: Sign at Gander Mountain
The Gander in Washington has the sign also.
But they have a gun safe in front of it that covers up the part about concealed carry being exempt.

Re: Sign at Gander Mountain
I have seen these signs at GM but Bass Pro still hasn't added a sign to clarify they don't mean LTCF holders carry weapons. I just carry at bass pro like always though.
Cabelas has this policy and even sent out an Email to clarify it .
