    Question CCW Applications

I live in South Carolina and wish to spend some time in Georga, prospecting. As Georga does'nt recognize SC permits, they do Pennsylvaina's. I am trying to find an application form for a permit. I hold a curent SC permit.

You will need to appear in person, but here it is...

Link to application in .pdf format is toward the bottom.
    .
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

I believe you need to apply in person due to a new law (or rule, not sure which) which took effect the end of last month. You could always try AZ or FL?

Arbitrary "rule", supposedly due to the technical limitations of the new system, not law.

It's sad how the technical excuse reflects the fact that we've hindered the State's ability to process out-of-state applications via a "modernization".

I haven't really been following the whole modernization thing but wow, talk about a step back, eh? You would think they would do everything possible to make money, not turn away people.

The crux of the matter is that photographs are now required on the licenses, and either they can't think of a way to scan-in passport style photos, or the more likely reason is that they figured that limiting the system to "on-location" photography would let them bureaucratically add an apply-in-person only rule to the process without needing to go to the legislature to do so.

I'm still investigating this issue, mind you.
