Default Rock Island 1911 Followed Me Home

I actually spied this yesterday, and being the good person that I am, thought I'd check on it's well-being today. Sure enough, it was still there and looking well. It did look like it needed a new home though. It's a used, almost perfect, satin-nickel two-tone, which I haven't seen anywhere locally. I had to do the right thing, or my conscience would have bothered me forever.

That's a good looking RIA. I had one before it was a good shooter and never had an issue with it. Enjoy nice pick up

It looks great, I picked up a stard GI model a few weeks ago and it functions smoothly and shoots pretty tight shot groups, atleast for my eyesight.

Thank goodness there are still caring souls like yourself in the world to make sure that beautiful firearms are afforded appropriate care and housing. Now, if only we could find a way to make such contributions tax deductible. Hmmm...

Never saw a bi-tone RIA, looks sweet!
The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.

Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Congrats, marks, on acquiring a great and highly underrated 1911.

Personally, I have two RIA 1911s, both all-Parked GI 5" models, one in 45 ACP and the other in 9mm. BOTH shoot as if laser-guided, and BOTH outshoot my Series 70 Gold Cup in terms of group size.

Looking forward to your range report.

Thanks. I haven't heard anything negative about the RIAs, and I am definitely eager to get out an shoot it.

All of my guns are far more accurate than I am, but I keep on shootin'. :-)
Thanks for the report on yours. I'm hopeful mine will be trouble-free as well.
