    Default Springfield TRP guide rod

Was out shooting the TRP today and noticed when I was done, about 150 rounds, that the full length guide rod started coming loose. Is this normal to happen sometimes? I've been wanting to order a GI "guide rod" just for the ease of takedown not requiring any tools. So it's not going to be an issue for to long. I just wanted to see if anyone on here had this happen before. Thanks.

I had the same problem with my Springfield Loaded so I got an EGW GI guide rod and plug. It is much easier to field strip.

If it is a two piece guiderod, yes. They will work lose after awhile. I put a very small drop of red loctite on mine.

FLGR's do nothing. toss it and get a standard plug/short rod setup.
