Date search for a Colt Gold Cup

Does anyone know where I can find the date of manufacture for a Colt Gold Cup if I supply the serial number? I bought this brand new in the 70's and am thinking of selling it. First I'd like to be able to supply a date for the buyer. Any help would be appreciated.

Don't be afraid to call Colt's CS dept and ask them. Taurus's CS dept can tell you when any of their guns were made down to the month with the SSN. Don't know about Colt, but it would be better than putting the SSN on here. You can also google: http://proofhouse.com/colt/

Proofhouse lists the serials for Gold Cup National Match guns and if it's not there, call Colt tomorrow (800-962-2658). They'll give you the born-on in a couple minutes.

Thanks for the proofhouse link. It is from 1974. Now I need to determine a selling price on it. It's about 99% with the box and all related paperwork and accessories.
